How to Remove Yourself From BeenVerified
BeenVerified is a background-check and people-search service that sells detailed reports assembled from public records. Opting out is free and takes a few minutes — but remember to check its sister sites too.
What BeenVerified exposes
Name and aliases · current and past addresses · phone numbers · email addresses · age · relatives · and public-record details pulled into a report.
How to opt out of BeenVerified (step by step)
- Go to the opt-out search page: beenverified.com/app/optout/search
- Search by your first name, last name, and state to find your record.
- Locate the listing that matches you and click Proceed to Opt Out.
- Enter your email address and complete the CAPTCHA.
- Open the verification email from BeenVerified and click the confirmation link to finalize.
Gotchas
- Check the sister sites. BeenVerified is part of a family of people-search brands (including PeopleLooker, NeighborWho, and Ownerly) that maintain their own listings — opting out of one does not necessarily clear the others. Search and opt out of each separately.
- Multiple listings. You may have more than one record; repeat for each.
- It reappears. Like all brokers, BeenVerified refreshes from public records, so re-check periodically.
FAQ
- Is the BeenVerified opt-out free?
- Yes.
- Do I need to create an account?
- No.
- Does one opt-out cover PeopleLooker and Ownerly?
- Not reliably — handle those separately.
