Privacy Policy

What we collect: For the free scan, first name, last name, city, and optional state. Email is requested only if you choose to unlock, save, receive, or manage a report, or if you create an account or paid plan. Stored personal data is encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM.

How we use it: To check monitored data broker sources on your behalf, generate likely-match reports, prepare opt-out steps, file supported removal requests, send service emails, and operate billing or authentication workflows.

Push notifications: If you allow notifications in the mobile app, Google's Firebase Cloud Messaging issues your device a registration token, and we store it so we can send the alerts you've enabled — for example, when a scan finishes. It identifies your app installation, not you. We never use it for advertising, and we share it with no one except Google, which delivers the message. If you decline notifications, no token is created. Signing out or deleting your account removes it from our servers.

Data retention: Free scan results are scheduled for automatic purge after 30 days. Paid account, billing, support, and removal-status records may be retained as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse.

What we don't do: We do not sell or monetize your personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to operate TraceKill, such as hosting, authentication, payment, email, push delivery, and broker-removal tooling. We don't build advertising profiles.
